    Question DD Menu Style Not showing up

    1) Script Title: DD Tab Menu (5 styles), Example 3

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddtabmenu.htm

    3) Describe problem: Hi, I am trying out this DD menu, using the default links since I don't have my own yet, and the style is not showing up. I have checked everything I can think of, the .css file is uploaded, I have linked it. Does anyone know what I'm missing? I really appreciate the help here.

    Actually, based on your reference to the .css file for the script, the URL the browser looks for it is:

    http://www.klhwebdesigns.com/ddtabme...dblockmenu.css

    As you can see, there's no file there. You need to correct this.

    Thanks, I have fixed this and still the tabs are not coming up. I'm sure there is something I'm not seeing, but I just can't find it.
    I appreciate the help

    In your stylesheet you use:

    .solidblockmenu

    However, on your page you have:

    solidblocksmenu

    These two must agree.

    Also, where you have:

    Code:
    <div id="solidblocksmenu" class="basictab">
    The class should be the same as the selector in in the stylesheet (solidblocksmenu or solidblockmenu - whichever you decide on) and the id should be a unique identifier. This identifier (not the class selector) should be used here:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    //SYNTAX: ddtabmenu.definemenu("tab_menu_id", integer OR "auto")
    ddtabmenu.definemenu("solidblocksmenu", "auto") //initialize Tab Menu #1 with 1st tab selected
    </script>
    So it would look more like so:

    Code:
    <div id="mytabs" class="solidblockmenu">
    and:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    //SYNTAX: ddtabmenu.definemenu("tab_menu_id", integer OR "auto")
    ddtabmenu.definemenu("mytabs", "auto") //initialize Tab Menu #1 with 1st tab selected
    </script>
    There could also be other problems.

    Question

    Thank you for your help. What is the "mytabs" Is that something I should define to tell it what tab to use or do I leave it "mytabs" ?

    By making it ('mytabs') the id of the div element, that defines it as an id of a division element. By passing it to the function ddtabmenu.definemenu(), you are telling that function to use that division. You could use another unique id in both places if you like, but 'mytabs' will work just fine.
