Default Advanced RSS Ticker (Ajax Invocation): Called with an empty time parameter

    1) Script Title: Advanced RSS Ticker (Ajax Invocation)

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...ajax/index.htm

    3) Describe problem: Keep getting this error:

    Error fetching remote RSS feed!

Warning: strtotime() [function.strtotime]: Called with an empty time parameter. in C:\...\lastrss\lastRSS.php on line 159

Then all the items in the feed are displayed.

When I use the demo.htm file, the CNN feed gives this error, but the BBC feed loads correctly.

Are you running this script on a Windows server? I'm not sure about compatibility of LastRSS with Windows servers.

I am running it under Windows Apache 2.0. As I said the using the demo.htm file, the CNN feed produces the error and the BBC feed does not; it runs properly.

I've tried the script with Atom and XML formats and still the same error.

It will eventually move to a LAMP installation, where I have it working just fine. I am doing testing for now. The first time I installed it, it worked under the WAMP installation. This time it's giving me fits.

As mentioned, I don't have much experience with Windows, but my guess is, LastRSS isn't fully compatible in this environment. In LAMP, you shouldn't have any problems.

Why is it different? Do you have an idea of what could possibly be happening?

Why does the BBC feed work and the CNN one not? Is there a difference in the feeds?

I've never had a problem moving a DD script from WAMP to LAMP before. What could be the problem?
