not the correct characters in Ajax Tabs

3) Describe problem: I'm trying to use Ajax Tabs Content on a Swedish site. The text on the startpage/default page works as it should with swedish characters, but all pages "under the tabs" can't show Swedish characters but squares and it removes characters. How and where can I change the default languange to swedish or some other solution to make it work with our freaky characters?
