I haven't seen it yet, because I really haven't had the time to do so. I can't wait untill it comes out on DVD though so that I can get it and watch any deleted scenes/special features.

It does an incredible job of masquerading as the best film ever. Well made in that it feels epic and powerful. Part of this is the music. While watching it, you are almost convinced it's the only thing that matters.
It's about 1/3 drama, 1/3 action, and 1/3 parody.
I'm not quite sure how I liked it, but I'm glad I went.

I pretty much skipped all the block buster movies this summer, from Shrek 3, Pirates 3, to Spiderman 3, having learnt my lesson after watching their previous incarnations. I haven't seen Transformers yet, but I must say, I plan to. It just looks too cool to miss, and I loved Michael Bay's last big action flick "The Island". Then there's the upcoming Harry Potter movie, which I'm sure like before will be average, but just enough to keep me entertained for 2 hours.
For quite some time now, I've always just waited until these things come out on my HD cable hook up. It leaves me about 6 months to a year behind the releases, but the popcorn is much cheaper and I don't have to put up with lines or people talking in the middle of an important scene.
Oh, I did see "The Island" a few times. I thought it was very cool.

Heh, aye to John there
I thought this thread was about electronics. That definitely puts me firmly in the "haven't seen it" category.

It is about electronics. Just... er... alien electronic lifeforms that can turn into cars, and then, sorta fight to save the world and stuff.

The Island was awesome.... I really loved Transformers though. Yeah, I normally wait till movies come out on dvd and then rent but I did a spur of the moment kinda thing. lol, it was worth it and was not even crowded. But i also did go mid-week at about 4 pm, so that's probably why. I have yet to see a Harry Potter movie though. I just NOW watched The Goonies for the first time... I lag a little bit sometimes.
You just watched The Goonies?!?! WOW.
