Script conflict with HV menu?

1) Script Title: HV menu and Featured Content Slider

3) Describe problem:
I have been using the Featured Content Slider with no problems.
But the minute I copy/paste the HV Menu (with associated .css and .js files in the same folder), I can't see the HV menu.

Vice-versa,
by itself, the HV menu works fine.
But once I combine it with the Featured Content Slider,
the HV menu won't display.

Is this an inherrent, unavoidable conflict?
Is there any way that both scripts can work simultaneously on the same page?

The two are working fine together here. A link to your problem page would probably be required to spot the trouble.
