CSS image rollover w/ z-index in IE6

Hi

Got a problem with:

http://www.digitalbrit.com/clients/cutedge/mockup/team/

When the cursor moves into the image area it should change, furthermore when you hover over a face a pop up desciption should appear (in addition to the title).

Works in IE7, Firefox PC and Mac, but not IE6. Presumably something to do with the z-index levels, but blown if I can fathom it out.
