Crashes Firefox browser

It works well on IE 6 and Opera 9 and seems to work in Firefox 2.0.0.4, however, in Firefox if you successively click different tabs Firefox crashes. A very stripped down version to test can be found at:

Click each tab in sequence and the start again. Depending on how quickly you click, Firefox will crash after the second Tab2 (click quickly) or a couple later if clicking slowly (4 seconds between clicks).
I love this script and want to use it, but if it crashes on Firefox it's a major problem.
