Changing The Page on the same page

Hi there,

I have this upload forum which when I click submit I want it to upload but change the page to like Uploading with a progress bar. Like lets say we have a upload forum, and when we click on Upload, it uploads but says below it, uploading or something like that, do you know what I mean?

I have fixed it by research and messing about *finally* lol, but I only have one last question left. How to I write on images? Like example I want to write $sitename or $Filename on the image, how do I do this? Thanks
