Virtual Pagination? Link within a Virtual Page?

Can I link to something that is within a page of the Virtual Pagination.


For instance, say I have something that is on page 3 of 10 and I want to link to it from somewhere else on my site...can I? How if so?

Make the virtual pagination by calling it from the url...for instance, index.php?page=3. Then, link to that page.

That doesn't work...it just stays on the first page when I try to do that.
