CHMOD Files

I need to be able to CHMOD some files,
does anyone know how to do this using Dreamweaver 8?

You cant CHMOD files in or from Dreamweaver. Its something you do on your FTP server - where you upload your files to make it show on the internet.

CHMOD is simply something that tells the server how much access people have to your files. What program do you use to connect and upload files to your FTP? Then I can help you from there.

I use dreamweaver to upload files to my ftp.

I have solved the problem now though, all i needed to do was right click on the file and go to 'set permissions'.

I already knew how to do this, but couldn't find the 'set permissions' option;
didn't realize that I had to do it on the remote file and not locally.
