    Default Fonts?

I found some thing on the internet. But for the life of me i cant remember it. By what I remember it said you can put a code on your site that forces others to use a custom font. Even though they dont have it downloaded on their computer. Is this true?? And how do I do it.

I moved this from HTML to other because there is nothing in the HTML specification that can do this. There is a proprietary method* in IE for this, and I believe there is a method using PHP that might work in all browsers, not completely sure. You can also use images in place of text, but that is far from ideal and wouldn't represent an outcome at all similar to the flexibility that having a font would.

Hm? No, there isn't, at least as far as I know.

I only mentioned that - a PHP approach, as I thought I remembered one being mentioned in these forums, in the past. The more I think about it though, it did involve images. If I'm remembering correctly at all, it was something like using .gif images and/or images created on the fly to represent each letter, thus preserving more of the flexibility of font than simply using images of text would do. I'm not sure how practical or detailed the explanation of this was.
