i found sites it extension .plx
what is that?
as beginner what i know and similiar now is .html,.php,.asp and some more but not .plx.
can someone help me to understand it.

Wow, this is a tough one to find out about. The only thing I found was vague:

Ok, I did some more research and found out it's an executable Perl script. Meaning, it's written in Perl. Perl files are usually .pl, but .plx is supposedly a Perl extension too. Hmm.
