But don't most people have JavaScript enabled anyho? I thought it was just the sorta thing that is on by default, and no one really cares.

Well, yes, many scripts have that disadvantage, but the good ones don't. However, you could make it so that all of the content was displayed at once if javascript were disabled or so that each tab would be a link to a page that had the content on it. The links wouldn't fire if javascript was enabled. That sort of thing.

For something like this, I think it might be best just to have all of the content visible if javascript were disabled and have the tabs only appear in the first place if javascript is on.

Forgot to mention on that js is required for it to work.

I did it for a site I'm developing that requires js so I was not worried with javascript beeing disabled.

I decided to post it here as I thought it may be useful for people who are looking for something like this.

Yes, in much the way that most people don't use wheelchairs, so who cares if it's impossible to get into your place of work using one? Just as a well-designed building will cater to people other than single men with fully-functioning bodies and 20/20 vision, a well-designed site will cater to things other than the very latest or most common browsers with all features enabled. Remember, that includes screenreaders and the like -- these usually don't handle Javascript very well.

nmendes: you don't have to remove it because it is a poor code(tell me which isn't?). It still can be useful for a lot of other people and a lot of tweaking can be done. Twey just meant it is not the best code but he did not mean it was very very bad. So please repost!!

His comment about a very poor site was in general about one that requires javascript to view the content. It may be a 'good' site, but this simply means that if the user doesn't have javascript or javascript isn't enabled, the whole site will fail. A fallback should be included.
