Default Beryl + ubuntu - WOW!!

I just experienced Beryl for the first time. And all I can say is wow, Vista is good looking but its Beryl that makes you go wow. I'm wondering if its possible to dual boot Vista with Ubuntu + Beryl. Thanks.

I don't like it much any more :-\ I liked the black theme they used when it was in development, but that nasty shade of turquoise doesn't do much for me.

Yeah, I like Beryl, but Metisse link, link) looks more useful whilst still being pretty stylish. A lot of Beryl is pure eye-candy (wobbly windows? I mean, come on), although it does have some usability features too, such as its tabs. Metisse focusses on the usability options of an 2.5D desktop instead. LG3D, a true 3D desktop as opposed to the 2.5D provided by Beryl and Metisse, also looks more interesting.

It should be, yes. Install Windows first, since it likes to overwrite things, then install Ubuntu and point grub to the Windows bootloader.

Bumptop looks interesting... it's vapour at the moment, though.

yea I have beryl here its some pretty cool eye candy to show off. but the only thing I would really use it for is to change the top look and feel of the windows borders. and thats about it. Wobbly windows is kinda cool but gets annoying after awhile.

I run Beryl, but the only intrusive features -- the ones that require a key combination to use, I don't mind -- I use are the translucency (which is very useful), Emerald, the cube (it looks better from inside), and shadows.
