Default Displaying DIV content inside another DIV

Hey, this oughta be pretty easy for you guys:

I've looked a few times at the tab content scripts on this site...and they look like what i'm needed kinda.

What i'd like to know is: how can i have a div (that won't expand w/ content, but instead display a scrollbar) that will get loaded w/ inline div content when you press an image button.

So you have a box that has three images to the right of the box. Clicking each image will display content from a hidden DIV inside that box.

Is there already an example of this kind of thing on the site? I've tried to modify the one that's there, but it's in an UL, and it seems to break if I don't put it in an UL.
