help with photo gallery v2.0

Hello Everyone, I have a problems with the phtotgallery V2.0. It just does not want to work for me. The demo examples work fine on Mozilla firefox 2.0.0.3, which is the browser I use, yet when I copy and paste the sample code into a htm file, it just does not seem to work.
I copied the photogallery.js file into the same folder and the css, in the <head>tag, and javascript code is in the <body> tag of the htm page that will show the gallery.
If anyone can check the code to see if it is correct-- It would be appreciated.
I, really, would like to use the code. It is a fantastic piece of code and would hate to discard it.
p.s I look at the php photo gallery. It is nice but the photogallery v2.0 is better suited for my use.
