Script for combination

hi guys,

i'm in a need of ur help.
i need a script for displaying the combination of characters.
i.e
if i entering the letter in text box it will display the combination in the separate area and if i select that combination that will be the value for text box...

The main thing in this is i'm using Unicode Tamil characters with phonetic keyboard layout.
for example if i entering the tamil letter 'Ra' then it will display the corresponding
combinations like 'Ri' 'Raa','Ro' like that..i'm trying some what but i can't get clear idea about that.
