    Well, the Internet certainly needs an overhaul. The nature of URLs is such that I see no reason that can't be done piece-by-piece, however, although URLs would have to start being used in places we're perhaps not so familiar with them today.

    It would be better if they worked in some areas at one time, like upgrading some servers etc.

    Anyway, Internet2 sounds like a great idea.

    Anything that gives the goverment the ability to monitor the daily interneting* of people should be scrapped.
    to the regular public it will be seen as an attempt to crack down on internet pedos and crackers/DDOSers etc...

    But privacy is a right. Canadian charter FTW.
