Removing Threads Question
I've looked but found nothing. Is there a way to remove a thread placed by a member (viz own treads only) that no longer has relevance or is there some admin policy preventing this?

Moderators and admin may only delete threads...

One person's lack of relevance could be another person's goldmine of information. Did you have a specific thread in mind? If so, please supply a link to it and details on why it should be removed.
And, to answer your question another way, there is no hard and fast policy on this. It comes up so rarely that it has just been dealt with, in the past, on a case by case basis.
Also, if all you really want is a link to your live page or to a page that no longer exists removed, that can be easily done.
I can delete or edit most posts and threads but, I would hesitate to remove anything that might be of value to others. The user who made the post can edit it for up to 72hrs or something like that.

The question on Frames and Favicon, I asked about the favicon not working on the local machine. I thought this might be missed and reposted the favicon local portion as a new thread. You answered the question so I edited the thread to "----" and in reason, answered under another thread"
I could have copied and pasted your reply but I think that would be unethical. This leads me to another question.
Can similar threads be xref'd such as in this case, "See thread......"? If so how would I go about it?
Having a bit of time on my hands and exploring unanswered threads, where I can be of help, I try and answer or guide users within my knowledge framework, sometimes one is just too close to the coalface to see the coal.
I think with the help and assistance I have received from DD in the past, this is the least I can do.

Well, when other folks go searching previous posts for information, they don't much care what the title was or how the answer was given. So, it is probably best to just leave that sort of thing alone. This isn't a Wiki, just a forum.
