Problem with .htaccess file.

I want installed on my web site the .htaccess and .htpasswd files in order to regulate the access.
My web site is built with Dreamweaver and it has a defaut.htm page.
What is the procedure to install these files in my web site with dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver isn't anything special in this case.
You just need to upload the files, using dreamweaver, ftp, or whatever, to your server in the right directory.
Drag. Drop. Done.

That seems to be the extent of what is needed, at least.

.htaccess, etc. need no specific configuration beyond existing in the right location on the server, usually the root, or in a folder if it just affects that directory.
