Red face positioning of the popit menu

    Hi:

The menu I'm referring to is: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/popit.htm

The way I want the menu to appear when the mouse is over an image is the same way it appears for the following site: www.dell.ca

Can I do this somehow with this menu? If yes, how the heck do I do it? Right now, when you move the cursor over the image the menu pops up in different positions based on where the mouse is....I want it to stay in one single fixed position regardless of where the mouse is over the image.

    Help!!!

    Thanks,
    Irina

    That looks more like:

The effect on the images on the example page (Find a Notebook, Deskto...) you mention are image rollovers or could be done with image rollovers.

    Hi John:

    Thank you for your reply.

On the dell.ca page, the menu doesn't move when you move the mouse around the image...it's stuck in place.

On http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex5/popinfo.htm, the pop info box still moves around if you move the mouse slightly (even with the sticky style). How can I get the box to stay put regardless of the mouse's position on the image?

    Thanks!

Not with certain of the configurations.

You also can make your tip sticky
    If you combine that with:

You may also control the left and the top coordinates
    you should be in business.

    John,

It seems to work, however, I need the message tip to disappear when the mouse is not on the image. I don't want my customer to gave click the 'close' button every time....with the sticky style, I can't do this...

If you put what you have up live, I or someone else can figure it out. But, perhaps the sticky technique isn't the best one to combine with the positioning technique, see if there is another that would work out better.

The sticky technique may be the best one available for what you need (a pop up that doesn't immediately disappear when you mouse off of the trigger). If so, a modification can be made if you show me what you have so far:

Please supply a link to your live page that you want help with.
