Question How can I prevent a file from being downloaded?

I am making a site in which I want to insect a Power Point presentation. On my computer, when I click on the link of the Power Point, it opens it in a IE browser window and I can see it, but on other computers, when I click the link, a message pops up that lets me either open it or download it. How can I prevent that message from comming up on other computers and make it so that it opens in a IE browser autimatically?

    Hi

I do not think there is a way.. rather convert the PP presentation into html files, and provide the llinks from one page to the other. Remember not all people use MS-PP, so this might me a better alternative if you want everyone to be able to see it.
    Very Best Rgds, Simonf

    Question

This sounds like a good idea, but I have another problem with that.

I tried converting my PPs to html files, and when I open them in a browser, they appear in a sort of window like it would be in PowerPoint for editing them, only I can't edit them from the browser. Is there a way for me to get the PPs to to go staight to the slide show when the link is clicked?

    Thanks
