Light Filter...

Hello again

,

This time as the title suggests I'm interested in the light filter of CSS...

But don't completely understand all of it... And obviously need your help ! -

I understand thats the order of the light filters properties but whats the z position? x is left, and y is top what can z be ??? -

I know its all eye candy but I like it alot and have some great I'll show...

NO.

Stop using IE only effects, period.
IE is the scourge of the internet, and makes coding proper web pages very difficult.

that aside, the z-index is how the objects are stacked on the page.

stacked =

take one on top the other..

you have a dinner plate, and you put down french fries on it, but you have enough french friest that you need to "stack" them on top of each other... if you take a picture of it from birds eye view you only see what is on top... and you see parts of the ones below it... well that is z-index

whichever element has a higher z-index, it will be on "top"

im only using this reference because that is my lunch

Oh you got it all wrong not z-index, its z-axis... And whats z-axis ? (I already know z-index, but thanks anyway

They both work the same way...
y=up/down movement,
x=left/right movement,
z=forward/backward movement.

z-axis is just another term describing z-index...
you have the x-axis (horizontal) y-axis(vertical) z-axis(pop-out)

think of z-axis as the "third plane" eg... what makes things 3d
