Not so sure about the stabbing ddadmin in the face, but it's common knowledge that most of the scripts here on DD are pretty badly written -- in fact even ddadmin knows it, he just hasn't got around to rewriting them yet.

How's about we have an organised rewrite-a-script week? Everyone pick a script per day, and rewrite it to be object-oriented (where applicable) and standards-compliant, and to work in as many different browsers with as many configurations as possible.

That would be nice to do, I wouldn't mind working on that (when I get the time).
