    Default in browser pdf viewer

is there a way to have a .pdf or .doc file viewed in a window in a browser? i have a very long document that needs to be viewed online, and i was hoping i could just have a window that you can scroll through the file instead of having to download it. i cant easily convert it to an html file because the person who wrote it used alot of crazy formatting which works, but only in the very controlled environment of microsoft word. thank you for your time

Well, the user's browser can allow for this if a sufficient plugin is available and selected as the default and/or chosen when the download prompt pops up.
    No, you cannot force this.

Best of luck rewriting to html if this isn't satisfactory
