Many of the mc's in my movie don't have "Export For Actionscript' checked, is this going to present problems? What exaclty does this featre do?

AS 2.0 came out with this handy little feature. It allows (mainly) the use of AS to do everything with MCs
Now you can build MCs and leave them in the library and AS can pull them out and place them on stage, or AS can fill a black MC etc.
If you aren't using AS to control those MCs it won't hurt. However it is good practice (especially with AS 3.0 getting bigger) to just get in the habit of checking that box when you create the MC, as a default. Then if you need it it is there and if you don't it won't hurt anything.
