Navigation/Menu Bar Problem

1) Script Title: JSDoMenubar (and others)
I'm using JSDoMenubar but I have noticed this problem with the others too.

3) Describe problem:
When selecting a menu, if there is a text box on the page below where the menu appears, it covers part of the menu. I need my users to be able to see the menu items so they know what they are selecting. Can I fix this issue with this particular script? If I need to modify the scripts, how would I go about it? I already did try to tweak z-index for a couple of the selectors in the style sheet but I was either picking the wrong ones or I was barking up the wrong tree.

I am using IE 6 *ONLY*.

Also, I wasn't sure if this was a bug or not and if it is a bug whether it is a bug in the script (I tend to think not) or just a side effect of how the browser handles things. If you know, please share with me.
