    Question Domains

As yet I haven't got a website but I have some free webspace from my ISP, if I use it my web address would be something like www.martinfeeney.wanadoo.co.uk which is a bit too much, if I buy a suitable domain name what is involved in getting the bought domain to work if I upload my site to my ISP webspace/address ?

    Hi:
Well, the very first step is always to register your domain name with a Domain Registrar, such as Godaddy.com Most registrars offer a control panel where you could login and modify your DNS info to point to your web host. Your web host should tell you exactly what to enter for this. Once that's done and you've waited a few days for the DNS to propogate, your site and email should work.

So it's a two step process basically.

    Thumbs up

Thanks much appreciated, that seems pretty straight forward and not as complicated as I thought it might be
