Default CSS Newbie, suggestions on previewing...

We're taking a stab at implementing some CSS-- replacing tables-- on our site.

In the development & testing stages, what's the easiest way
to preview what CSS is doing on the page?

    For example:
We utilize style sheets, but for testing purposes we moved
the CSS code to the HTML page. That method always helped us
preview fonts-- but I'm finding that to view the div structure,
we need to copy the page to the server and launch the page.

This can't be right-- way too much trouble.
How do you guys do it? Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but you can use a CSS editor that shows you a preview pane.

I have used Coffee Cup HTML editor in the past they make a free version that has a preview in it..

When testing locally, one should test in a browser. Everything should be the same as on the server as long as the local paths are valid, the resources (like images or any linked styles, scripts, etc.) are available, and there is no server side code involved.

If you have server side code, you either need to setup a local server to test it or upload as you have been doing.
