    Default Best film of 2006

What is everyones best film of 2006?
Mine is Casino Royale (if that was released in 2006)
Or Da Vinci Code (a bit dull at times though)

Saw 3 has gotta be one of my favorites (for myself). Although, Open Season, Cars, and Over the Hedge are some of my favorites because they are movies for the whole family.

Hm, I'd have to go with Casino Royale. Daniel Craig reminds me of an aging tennis player, for some reason, but the plot was good.

The one thing that has ruined james bond for me is that they replaced the one i was brought up with (by this i mean that i am used to having the last james bond as the main character ...)

As a standalone, Casino Royale is great. As part of the series, it's nonsense. A modern film, with lines about the cold war being over to introduce a character whose entire life is about fighting the soviet union. For the most part, anyway.
That is to be expected, I assume, though.

The Prestige and the Illusionist were both very good too.

    Not sure on a best.

The Departed won the oscar, but I didn't think it was all that amazing. Lots of guns, some action, some good acting, but nothing in the story was all that amazing. It was certainly worth seeing, but not as amazing as many see it.

Babel, though also nominated for the oscar, was terrible. If you're interested in experimental filmmaking, see it, but that's the only good justification for doing so.

The Illusionist has only just been released here. It looks good, I'll probably see it at some point.
