Default Global Warming – Truth or Fiction?

What do you think? Is global warming something normal or is it the fault of mankind?

Found this short video on youtube that I found interesting HERE.

People are always going on about this sort of thing. "Humans are destroying the planet," "humans are unbalancing the ecosystem," "humans are causing events to deviate from their natural path." What people fail to realise is that humans are part of that natural path, even though we usually arrogantly think ourselves above it. I suspect that, if not now, then in some time in the future, humanity will indeed modify the atmosphere so much that they'll be unable to live. However, that's not a "bad" thing. "Good" and "bad" are very human definitions, and really apply only to humans. From the standpoint of the human race, it may be a bad thing, but nature will find some way of dealing with it, just like when the plants polluted the Earth's atmosphere with a highly corrosive waste gas, oxygen.

Global Warming isn't evident here... It's -9 degrees celsius outside now, and that's is normal for the area I live in around late winter (winter for us doesn't start until about January).

Currently it's 70 degrees fahrenheit. It's supposed to be a high of around 92 though (that's normal around this time). Last summer, it got up to 125 F and that was normal.

7 1,000+ year old glaciers have melted within the last several years in Sweden.

    I agree with you, Twey.
However, I think, being human, that is "bad", in that at least we will all die. So... perhaps nature won't care, but people should.

No matter what we do, it's still going to effect the world.

It has already started doing so.

One way to look at all of this is that everyone wants low prices for fuel (gas). Considering the supply of oil is running out, I'd suggest that everyone should be inclined to go the route of reusable energy so it's easier on everyone and so that it doesn't, if global warming is "real", keep hurting the environment

But then there are people who believe we're not running out of gas. But I ask, then, why prices are going up? Perhaps this will stir debate, but I'll throw it out there too-- and why are we invading a country that just happens to result in us getting their oil?

You guys have to remember that "Facts" are only that because many many people beleive the peices of information are correct, not the other way around.

but that aside, a reason gas prices are going up is so that people THINK its running out, so that the rising gas prices are justified.
