Tab Content Script (with left, right side)

Hey, I just installed this Tab Content Script. I was just wondering if its possible to add a right and left side to each tab, I tried to use div tags but it didnt work (at least not the way I did it), I took some example pictures to show you what I mean:

I don't think I've understood your point completely are you refering to a state where each tab has space on left and right hand side?

Well I wanted to place an image on the left and right side of the shadeactive.gif so it would get corners.

So is it possible to do this? I've seen similar script (if not the same) using corners on the tabs, it looks quite good.

I got it to work with span tags, you can just put the tab text in span and then write this in the css:

.selected a span
{
padding-right:10px;
background: url("selectR.gif") right top no-repeat;
}

although I had some problem to get them to align in IE so had to make an IE only css file.
