is XAMMP support asp?or what software could support asp and do i need .NET framework for it?wher shouled i downloaded it for free?

If you want to start ASP development then you need a web server that support ASP, a text editor and a browser.

In case of web server windows has a web server which is IIS you can install it using your windows installation CDs. After IIS installaton your web publishing root will be C:\InetPub\wwwroot folder where you can put your ASP file and can browse those file like the following http://localhost/yourpage.asp
