Slashdot Menu help Transparency

3) Describe problem: I want to put a gif on the menu with a Transparent backround, but the backround shows up as white on the image. I tried just opening the image up normally and the transparency is there. How do I make it so the Slashdot Menu will be transparent with a non solid color backround?

check the css to see if background is white.. if it is set there.. delete the variable
