    Default Chromeless window help

    1) Script Title: Chromeless window

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...chromeless.htm

    3) Describe problem: Is there absolutely no way to get this code to work with windows XP, because it seems really cool. Is there something I can turn off in the security menu in IE7? I would just love to put this on my site.

    In older versions of XP that actually had sp1 installed via update and that still have the uninstall option available for that sp, you can uninstall it. But, that will only affect the browser in question. No matter what you do to your browser, other browsers (folks who view your site) will be unaffected.

    The chromeless window is still pretty spartan even with the status bar and the address in the title. You might want to just go with a minimal new window though:

    or with a widget (immitation window):

    Howdy-
    I've tried Eric's Chromeless Windows and his Pop Up Window Generator.
    I'm linking to an image instead of an HTML page and the problem I'm having is I'd like for the image to be centered in the window.
    I have enabled scrolling and resizing but that's not really what I'm looking for.
    I set the window size to the image size but it seems to add a border around the image at the top and on the left.
    Is there any way to center the image in the pop up window?

    Thanks!

    Edit 1: Well, I guess a little more reading would have been considerate on my part.
    In an earlier post I found these 2 links;

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...box2/index.htm

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail.htm

    which look to be more of what I was looking for, plus the added advantage of pop-up blockers not affecting them.
    I added these links in hopes that they might help others looking for a similar script.
