Google. Opera has it integrated into the address bar. As you type things into the address bar, if they aren't valid addresses, there is a g that drops just below it that will search Google for it. Right click of highlighted text includes 'Search'. The default is Google. All of this can be configured but, Google is pretty darn good.

I think most of the popular browsers integrated search engine facility into their address bar and on most of them google is the default one.Google. Opera has it integrated into the address bar.
I use google for web and images but might start using live for the fact that Johnnymushio pointed out. I also use http://sxc.hu for images. And of course i've got to use Digg for some news!!!!!
