Databases (help me!)

I need help making a database for phpBB forums. When I go to my forums install page to set them up, it asks for this information:

Database Server Hostname/DSN: (The default setting for this is 'localhost')
Your Database Name:
Database Username:
Database Password:
Prefix for tables in database: (The default setting for this is 'phpbb_')

What do I do? How do I even make a MySQL database? Please help. I is noob.

The first thing you need is a host that supports/has MySQL running on their server. Second, you would need to make the db by either using command line tools, PHP My Admin, Cpanel, or whatever it is that your host allows you to do. After that, you just need to fill in the answers in the PHPBB install form.

As for the prefix thing, this is (from my understanding) an optional thing to let you know what the tables in the db are for.
