Dynamic File linked into Marquee

3) Describe problem: I am trying to create an intranet page with messages on it. I have tried linking an external file to hold all the messages. But it will only work if the linked file is in the same directory as the web page. How can I used a file that is linked elsewhere, possibly on another drive. Does anyone have suggestions on what I could do.

The external file referenced must be within the same domain as the page displaying the marquee. Is this the case? You may want to read up on IE's download behavior and its limitations here.

In the case of an intranet/network, would a network drive be the same as a different domain? Perhaps that is the problem.
