Links generating text or code in textbox

I'm looking for a script, whether javascript, asp, php, whatever, that when you click on a link or piece of text (onClick) it generates text or code that is specified by the link into a textbox. For instance, clicking on "yes missing money" generates the text "cust missing money" in a text box on the page.

I saw the same type of thing done with a text box and a check box, but how can I do it with text?
