    Default CMD Net Send problems

I can't use net send on my network. My network is already set up. I use my laptop and PC to transfer files successfully. But for some reason i get this error in CMD:
    Code:
    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Ben>NET SEND Laptop hello did you revieve this?
An error occurred while sending a message to LAPTOP.

The message alias could not be found on the network.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2273.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Ben>
Could it be because my laptop is connected through my router. Or maybe Norton is blocking netsend or something on my laptop?

    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\Documents and Settings\User>net helpmsg2273
The syntax of this command is:

    NET [ ACCOUNTS | COMPUTER | CONFIG | CONTINUE | FILE | GROUP | HELP |
    HELPMSG | LOCALGROUP | NAME | PAUSE | PRINT | SEND | SESSION |
    SHARE | START | STATISTICS | STOP | TIME | USE | USER | VIEW ]

    C:\Documents and Settings\User>
    That is the helpmsg.

There is no such message as NET HELPMSG 2273, only that of what I said in my previous post. If you type in "NET HELPMSG 2273" in the command prompt, you get the following:

    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\Documents and Settings\User>NET HELPMSG 2273

The message alias could not be found on the network.

    EXPLANATION

This message alias could not be located.

    ACTION

Check the spelling of the message alias. If it is correct, then the computer tha
t is to receive your message may be busy. Try sending the message again later.
Of course, assuming you are using Windows XP.

    Also,

To whom was this question regarding?

Added Later: I am currently on my home server, not connected to a network. As soon as I get into work on Monday morning, I will try again and post if anything is different.

Vista doesn't support it?!?! I officially hate Windows now. Time for Linux!

LOL But Vista is still pretty awesome. It like Windows, linux, and mac all shoved in together to make one OS.

Yea I saw screenshots of it (http://screenshots.modemhelp.net) when I had to troubleshoot an email problem for a customer that had just purchased Vista.
