Hi i came across this site G4TV.COM and i would like to know how they did they date. it is just under there logo.
I know it is not flash so i was wondering if any one would know how they did it. It gets the users date from there computer

Yes, it's based on the local date, not the server.. proven by changing and refreshing.
It isn't flash in the end, but the initial animation is... just click fast enough to tell. It's javascript, presumably, controlling the whole thing.
Nice script. Kinda weird, but cool.
I can't exactly say how to duplicated it, though.
However, I will note that I suspect (after playing with it), that the animation is stock and that it has nothing to do with the date... it's blurry enough. Then the date shows up, and you just assume....
EDIT: Hmm.. weeeeeird. It appears the whole thing is actually flash, even the part at the end, though the flash right click menu is lacking. /flash/Calendar.swf is the flash file if you want to look. Downloading shows that it is indepedant of the page. Interesting.
