open default webpage without menubar

Hi there,

I need a script that can hide browser's menubar in every page of my site.
I mean, whenever a visitor visit my site at www.abc.com, the default page (default.html or default.asp) will be displayed with out browser's default menubar. and also for every page that linked to that default page.
anyone can help me?

Use frames (*winces). They keep index.html (.htm,.php whatever) in the url bar.

Or use <iframe>:

<iframe src="content.html" name="content" height=252 width=521 frameborder=0 scrollable=yes></iframe>

Go to the site in my signature, and you'll see that it is in a frame. If you go to http://www.casariegoart.com/indexGB.html, you'll see that the content is in an <iframe>.

Of course when visitors have frames disabled it wont work, or matter.

And if it is the page name you are trying to hide that won't work either, as you can get the names from the source code.

If you want to hide your codes, forget it, no way around it. If you just wish to make your coding easier, then use frames or iframes. But the source can always be seen/found.

My main objective is to give my users a desktop-application-like look and feel for recent intranet project. I think, hiding browser's menu and toolbar will give my users the look and feel of a desktop appl.

Do you have any other alternatives for that?

U should open a new(pop up or link) full screen window with menu hidden from the beggining.
