For a long time, I've been partial to this optional Windows wallpaper:

    Hmm... it doesn't grab me.

A lot of the wallpapers from Digital Blasphemy are very good. The designer is extremely talented.

I just like them (the water lilies). However, while searching for an available image of the wallpaper to insert in my post, I ran across this site:

I like the last lily on the page. We have one of the world's premiere botanical gardens nearby us here in SE PA. Longwood Gardens - they have wonderful water lily features (seasonably) in the outdoor portion of their extensive conservatory. Something about these plants always resonated with me and bring on a calming mood.

Just to go against the grain of the thread... I just got Windows Managed to get W2K running in qemu with kqemu... near-native performance. I did this once before, but my hardware was a lot less powerful, and in the end it just wasn't feasible (testing a site took ages waiting for each page to render).

I want to set up a linux box or something similar to it. Do you or anyone else have some favorite operating systems that are recommended? And how did you manage to run windows?
