The ripples look kind of ugly when still. They're much nicer in motion.

I like icons, shortcuts, folders, labels. I hate going to the start menu then all programs, etc.

This is on my Windows machine, of course. I only use certain apps and of course the games. On my Linux box I have 2 icons and the rest are in drawers on my tool bars, LMAO

Okay, here is my first. This is from my XP box. Took it while working on some Flash stuff.

I usually use openbox but I couldn't capture my screen so here's the one from Gnome.

shachi, quite nice (for GNOME ). The one thing I miss in other environments is GNOME's ability to resize icons. I'd probably just end up with one big icon (all I have on my desktop at the moment is my [rather large] TODO list) but it'd be nice anyway.
