what i did was i took vistas explorer.exe and opened it in a hex editor and for all teh dll files it needs i renamed them to .dl1 and put the neccisary vista dll's as dl1's in my system folder did the same for uxtheme.dll it ran ok anyway but crashed often so i changed back
i was using the windows blinds version of that untill my trial ran out so i got the vista version and tried to get it to work in xp

And what I said in the chat window is what happened when I replaced 6 of the XP files with vista ones. But I fixed it.

yea i get windows free from work (no. not stealing) I have a vista cd but to hell if i'm installing it...Hmm... 1) it thinks it's genuine, 2) part of it looks like Vista?

Its construced out of copper and 1 way glass but the cooling system isnt done yet so the pastel green fan cools it nicley
