    I think windows is the only OS that isn't unix based... (maybe BSD, but im not sure... ya.. BSD too... OSX... Solaris...)
    Mac OS pre-X wasn't. DOS and its many variants (QDOS, MS-DOS, FreeDOS) aren't; OS/2 and Haiku aren't; OpenVMS and FreeVMS aren't. From what I can find (alas, I don't have a VAX to test a VMS), they're all more stable than Windows, with the possible exception of Haiku, which is still under development.

    what i was referring to (and probably should have said) was of every windows, dos, mac (oddly enough i havent used any of the newer ones id better fix that ) have been instable for me

    excluding the one im using now

    but im much less taxing on my computers now
