Default no right click code ???

hi, i used a no right click code on an auction page and also a ie anti toolbar code to prevent photo theft. it works fine in ie,but i noticed it is absolutly useless in firefox. its as if i dont have any code at all. is there an additional no right click code i can use for firefox?

Yes, there are no right click codes that work, for the most part, in Firefox.
No, it will not stop people from stealing your images.

I hate sites that have no right click. For example, I like to right click to copy a link to the clipboard, or to download a linked file instead of streaming it. For that reason, it's bad to have no right click.
And, anyone who WANTS TO STEAL will know how to get around a script like that.

    Options:
    1. look at source code
    2. use another browser that won't be stopped (safari is a good example, here)
    3. disable javascript
    4. failing all of those, print screen
    5. Or, just look in the cache

Really, it's not doing anything except annoying users and stopping stupid people from stealing from the site. It's not stopping people who are smart, and considering most thieves don't act randomly or without purpose/knowledge, there's no point in using something so easily worked around.

If you still want the code, just look on DD. There are several versions.

Well, actually it is doing more than that. It is adding to the script load of the page and often causes problems with other scripts. In some browsers it will have unintended consequences. It serves no useful purpose.

    True as well.

but it'l stop the average pc user.
The thing is, though, that is bad logic. Yes, it will stop the average user. But the average user is not the thief, usually. Usually, hackers and the like KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, so if your 'security' only stops stupid people, then it won't stop the people who are trying to steal, thereby stopping no one. Make sense?

It won't even stop the average user who is just a bit determined to get a copy of an image or whatever. It will only stop the the average user who is only casually interested in getting a copy of the thing in the first place. It won't even stop all of those. Repeat: Useless, at best.

The right-click button was never meant to be disabled, period. It has too many useful functions.

    "Useless, at best."

    That's a great description.
