    Default Virtual Screen Resolution software

    Hi all,

The current screen resolution of my PC iis 1024 x 768 but I would like to check out the look and feel of the web pages that I develop in other screen resolutions also.

Is there any virtual screen resolution software available using which we can have an effect of different screen resolutions irrespective of our original screen resolution.

Thanks in advance for your valuable help.

    Regards

Surely it's easier to just actually change the resolution

I completely agree with Twey, except that it would be nice to be able to check larger rez's than your monitor may support.

It's possible (in Linux, anyway) to have a scrolling desktop, a desktop larger than the resolution of the monitor, of which only part is shown, and which can be scrolled by moving the cursor to the edge of the visible area. I presume something similar exists for Windows and Mac.

Ah, I don't know about anything like that for windows or mac, Twey. But the link probably will help.
The other option is that windows/OSX is usually built to be able to support higher rez displays, but it won't output to them if the display won't do it properly. So you could try to hack/override that and see if the display will at least show something, just so you can feel what it looks like on a larger screen.
