Can Lightbox image viewer V1 be used to embed movie clips?
1) Script Title: Lightbox image viewer V1
2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tbox/index.htm
3) Describe problem:
I followed instruction and used this script to embed images, it worked fine. And then in http://digg.com/videos, I saw they used similar script to view movie clips. I realized their script may be different, still I am curious if Lightbox image viewer V1 be used to embed movies clips? If yes, can I use it to embed MS Media Player instead of Adobe Flash Player?
I appreciate you guys' help.

I would like to know this too.....such a hack would be wonderful.
Would anyone know how to manipulate the lightbox.js to accept SWF instead of JPG ???
Thanks,

Does a bear swim in the woods? Actually, I would recommend DHTML Modal window:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...dhtmlmodal.htm
which is very similar looking, and that I have actually seen used with videos in its iframe mode.
There is also this script:
http://particletree.com/features/lightbox-gone-wild/
What that allows you to do is to import content, as opposed to just images. But, since (as far as I know) it only uses Ajax to import content, may not be as suitable for videos which can act oddly if not given their own separate page when you are switching them about.

Thanks a lot. I've put aside this problem for a while. Let me follow your lead and work on it again.

Since I last responded to this thread, I've run across this method for using lightbox with Flash:
http://www.brianreavis.com/?p=16
It requires PHP but, does work as will the other method I mentioned that does not require PHP.
