I cannot preview or save my template. Blogger shows me an error:

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.

No idea what the problem is

..Per installation instructions, I put the code in "Step 1" under <HEAD>. For the code in "Step 2", I first created a new page element in layout, then, inserted the code into the page element box.

..doesn't work.
